About Me

My passion for design started at a relatively young age as I have always been fascinated by the aesthetics of automobiles. As I grew up, I learnt more about the actual development and process involved for designing a car and the hard work behind it. At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to undertake my school work experience at BMW Design in Munich. This was the point where I knew that I wanted to become a designer and started looking more into the various aspects of industrial design. My introduction to actual design then started in the Design & Technology Higher Level course for the IB Diploma. In this course I had the chance to research, design, and develop a functional product, resulting in a playable electric guitar (see sections). Music is a further passion of mine and as a guitar player myself, I enjoyed the process for developing this artifact and combining my passion for design and music.

In July 2011, I could successfully obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design & Technology at Brunel University, West London. Apart from the core modules, Contextual Design, Innovation Management and Major Project, I decided to choose Graphics and Embedded Systems for my optional modules. Especially for Industrial Design, I believe it is important to understand fundamental aspects of intelligent electronic systems and learn the basics of circuit designs (PCB) and microprocessor programming.

In February 2012, I had the privilege to undertake a 6 month internship at the renown design consultancy, f/p design in Munich.

In May 2015, I successfully acquired my Master of Arts degree in Industrial & Strategic Design at Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland. Since then I have been employed as an Innovation Designer at HYVE Innovation Design GmbH in Munich, Germany.

As of November 2019, I am a self employed with a focus on game development and freelancing as an Industrial Designer. My work includes concept development, sketch visualizations, CAD & 3D modelling and 3D visualizations in 3D including VR applications. In advance I can support in physical prototyping and assist in the development of embedded systems.
